About NA Meetings
Narcotics Anonymous is a society of people for whom drugs had become a major problem. We meet regularly to help each other stay clean. Most of us were introduced to the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous at NA Meetings. At meetings we have the opportunity to meet other people with the disease of addiction, who we can relate with and learn from.
If you think you may have a problem with drugs in any form, we invite you to attend a meeting.
We are not interested in what or how much you used, but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help. Membership is open to any drug addict, regardless of the particular drug or combination of drugs used. We have learned from our group experience that those who come to our meetings regularly stay clean.
Meeting Types
- Open meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend.
- Closed meetings are only for addicts who think they might have a drug problem.
- Men's groups are for men only.
- Women's groups are for women only.
- Gay & Lesbian groups cater to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender addicts, but do not exclude others.
- Candlelight meetings are held by candlelight.
- Book Study meetings are readings and discussion of passages from Narcotics Anonymous (The Basic Text) and It Works: How and Why.
